Our city hotel «Der Wilhelmshof» is located in a quiet side alley in the heart of Vienna, in the midst of a classic turn-of-the-century Viennese district, which has for centuries been a melting pot of different cultures. The typical «Old Viennese» Flair can still be felt in the 2nd District of Vienna near the Praterstern. The world-famous Viennese Prater, Vienna's most popular amusement place with its many leisure facilities and the famous Ferris wheel is «just around the corner».

 By car to the designhotel "Der Wilhelmshof"

Via the Praterstern hub, we can be reached easily by car. To save you the sometimes stressful search for a parking lot, we have a garage for cars and minibuses as well as a bus stop right in front of the house.

By public transport through Vienna

Despite its quiet location, the design hotel «Der Wilhelmshof» has also excellent access to the public transport network. The nearest subway, tram, bus and train stations are just 100 metres away (Praterstern). From here, the U1 subway line takes you in less than 5 minutes to the city centre, to the famous St. Stephen's Place and to Vienna's beautiful downtown, as well as to the Austria Centre Vienna (ACV) and the Danube Island. With the U2 subway line, you can get to the Vienna Exhibition Centre within a few minutes, but also famous sights such as the City Hall and the Parliament on the Ring and  Charles Square with the historical Charles's Church can be reached quickly. Some of these places can also be reached by foot within 15 minutes. The airport express train S7 provides a comfortable link from the Praterstern to Vienna Airport within 30 minutes.

In a few minutes, our hotel guests can reach the Viennese Meadow Garden by foot as well. Those who want to experience the charm of ancient Vienna should go there to visit Vienna's oldest Baroque gardens and take a rest in one of the original Viennese coffee houses. It is not only lovers of old Vienna who get their money's worth: The Meadow Garden also offers a variety of games and sports activities for the young and old. For families with children, a visit to any of the five children's playgrounds for all ages or to the family swimming pool offers itself. Furthermore, children can let off steam to their hearts' content in a number of ball courts for football, volleyball and basketball.
